Welcome
I am an art historian (PhD) passionate about uncovering how artistic practices and ideas move across cultures, shaping societies in unexpected ways. My research blends visual analysis, cultural theory, and human-animal studies, offering fresh perspectives on the connections between art, identity, and the natural world.
At the heart of my work is the UNESCO World Heritage of falconry, a 5,000-year-old tradition whose influence extends far beyond hunting.
Through my research, I reveal the forgotten, overlooked, and often surprising ways falconry has shaped everything from artistic expression and social customs to political and cultural frameworks that continue to shape our world today.
By following these threads across history, I bring to light the stories that connect falconry’s past to our present—and its role in building a sustainable future.
